ATHLETICS

CBA has one of the top athletic programs in the nation. Dating back to the first state championship in 1965 by Varsity Basketball, the Colts have won over 140 state titles and over 230 conference championships.

In 2020, for the sixth consecutive year, CBA earned the ShopRite Cup for Best Athletic Program – a state-wide recognition given by the NJSIAA and ShopRite Supermarkets to high school athletic programs with the most top performances during state championships. CBA has won a state-record 12 of the 17 total ShopRite Cup titles ever awarded.

While our teams win conference, state, and national championships year after year, our facilities are showing wear. Venerable athletic facilities that served the Academy well years ago are no longer adequate. These conditions impact the experience of current students and make CBA less attractive to potential students who compare us with other campuses.

To provide the quality environments required for current and future student-athletes, we seek to renovate and rebuild several athletic key facilities. We need to secure a total of $5.7 million to fund four capital projects that ensure our infrastructure reflects the quality of our athletic programs.
